About Alix
Alix received her Masters Degree in counseling from Western Seminary in Portland and her Bachelors of Arts in Human Services from Western Washington University. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LH60745364) in Washington. She completed her licensure experience in community based and residential mental health settings. At each placement she had the opportunity to work with individuals adults, adolescents, children, and families struggling with a complex mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma symptoms, and attachment difficulty.
Alix has been working with clients in private practice in Longview, WA since February of 2017. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, and individuals. She focuses on implementing evidenced based practices while addressing each individuals unique therapeutic needs. She employs collaborative problem solving, dialectical behavioral therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. These interventions are used as a means to nurture open communication, adaptive coping skills, problem solving, and healthy attachment within families. She embraces a strengths based philosophy and whole heartedly believes that every individual and family is doing the best that they can within their current circumstances and abilities.
